Touch down at Stuttgart

Reached Stuttgart last nite, 11.30am... was really tired, travelling for more than 10hrs. Eventho, we travelled in biz class... keke, totally a new experience for me. Travelling on SIA biz class was really syiok, cause they have video on demand... can watch any shows/listen to any songs at our own preference.

Today first day work at DC Bank office. Still got jet lag ler... hope to have good sleep tonite.

My Ah Beng neighbour

Suddenly feel like talking about my ah beng neighbour. Why I call him ah beng leh? Everytime I was at home, I heard him turned on his 'sound system' in his car so damn loud. Wah, he thought everyone like to listen to his music meh? So annoying... somemore hokkien song leh. Eventho I am hokkien lang, but I will listen the songs on my own lar, need to share with other people meh? He thought his sound system very keng leh, 'ping pang ping pang'.. want to show off lo, what else. aparah??? Like those VCD sellers ah beng, dye the hair gold color, smoking, modified the car until can fly...

Ah Beng is a term commonly given to a member of a group of young Chinese men in Southeast Asia, particularly Singapore and Malaysia. These Chinese men, whose age ranging from their early teens to late 20s, usually centralise in the busier and more developed cities in the region, but are usually seen as originating from smaller or more rural towns. Ah bengs typically speak local slang, which is Hokkien or Cantonese mixed with English and Malay, such as Manglish or Singlish. They are often stereotypically portrayed to be anti-intellectual, superficial and materialistic and shallow. These values often lead to a lack of culture or indulgence in criminal activity or being involved in brawling or affray out of disagreement with other people. Ah bengs are also sometimes associated with extensively-modified or zhng-ed cars, and are stereotypically seen as being excessively flashy and show-offs.

Banana Pie : I'm loving it

Last Sunday, Mr. Ha and I went to IKEA as to spend some vouchers given by her cousin sista... Since we had a late breakfast, we don't feel hungry and did not take our lunch. After we finished shopping at IKEA, suddenly our stomach krrruuu, kruuuu, kruuuu... hungry tim. So, we headed to the Mc'Donalds drive through nearby.

The banana pie

Mr. Ha had a large set of Mc Chicken value meal and I got a banana pie for myself. I still remembered that I used to love their pineapple pie but too bad it is no longer available now. And recently, my BIL told me that this banana pie was nice. So, I gave it a try. Yes, it is definitely delicious... the crispy pie crust with banana fillings... when you give it a bite, the banana fillings will squeeze itself out. But beware, the fillings is hot ya :)

Disney on Ice - Finding Nemo

Wah, I won 2 tickets to watch the Disney on Ice - Finding Nemo... Actually Mr. Ha is the one who helped me entering the contest from SP Setia. Well, I do not have any idea on this show but I am looking forward for the show because I have not been to this kind of event.

Anyway, I think I will not be able to watch it because I have a biz trip around that time. Eventho got the tickets but cud not attend :( Alamak.... timing no good la... kek sei ngor!

Farewell lunch at Alexis Bistro, BSC

Had farewell lunch for my colik, Lawrence... Left the company after 5 yrs... pretty long huh? The lunch was at Alexis Bistro at Bangsar Shopping Center.

Only managed to snap a few main dishes, Sarawak Laksa, Penne, Seafood Spaghetti and Roast Duck Breast (my selection)... Overall the comment that I received was food portion is not large and the taste were so so only. My comment on the duck dish was hmm... not good. The meat was quite hard and the ducky smell was quite strong. I still prefer the chinese roast duck, with 'dong guai' and herbal fragrant... The most satisfying food for me on that day was the tiramisu. Wow! the piece of cake was really yummy. Me and Amanda were sharing for it and we were like... 'hmmm... let's order another piece?' and 'shall we ta pau a piece?'

I finally managed to catch you! This little ugly creature has been running around and messing up my house recently. Everywhere we can see it's sh*t and dunno if it urines on our bed/sofa. yucks!



We could not stand it any longer and we decided to set up a trap and catch it... Well, the process is kinda simple:

1. Get a rat trap. (If used one, clean it with soap or watever to remove the rat smell... they could recognize the smell and refueses to enter into the trap!)


2. Close all the doors in your home. No rooms for it to hide.


3. Roast some food (e.g. dried cuttle fish, salted fish, bak kwa, etc)... something smells good to attract it. (I used bak kwa, left over from cny)


4. Cling the food in the trap.


5. Set up the trap. Leave it overnight / days.


6. GOTCHA!!! (It's in the trap)7. Kill it in any ways you preferred (sounds violent huh??)

I had already caught 2... and I hope there will be no more. Pray with me, ^_^

Holiday is going to be over

Time passes so fast and it also means my long break will be over soon. For the past 1 week, the main agenda was only eat, sleep, gamble.. meeting up with relatives and friends was really fun. This year I learnt to play mahjong (the 3 kaki type) but still not really good at it.

It's time to wake up from my nice, sweet dream and go back to work. hahaha! Another 2 days to go...
