Bridal Pastries

What is the purpose of having bridal pastries for chinese weddings? Well, it was customary for the girl's family to distribute the bridal pastries they receive from the boy's family to friends and relatives as a form of announcement and invitation to the wedding feast.
Bridal pastries was supposed to be given during the bethoral but we requested that they are sent earlier so that we will be able to distribute to relatives together with the wedding dinner invitation.

The bridal pastries

Consists of 2 variety of pastries (lotus and red bean)

The pastries was ordered from Lian Bee Confectionary in Bandar Puteri, Puchong. I do not know whether it taste nice or not as according to chinese customs, the wedding couple shall not eat the pastries. I hope it taste good :)
